Class highlights land for Warrior, Rogue and Shaman

A Blizzard class highlights video, reported by Wowhead, shows headline changes for Warriors, Rogues and Shamans. Its Warrior half matches Blizzard’s Priest and Warrior deep dive. Thunder Clap works in Defensive Stance, Protection’s new Vanguard talent lets Charge work there too, and Shield Wall, Retaliation and Recklessness stop sharing a cooldown. Arms folds the old weapon specializations into Weaponmaster and gains Spearing Strike, which dismounts its target. Fury’s Raging Blows let Whirlwind hit with the off-hand, until the October 1 rework.

Restoration Shamans get three new spells that each summon a chosen set of totems in one cast, set up on a new totem bar, plus Totemic Projection to move totems already down and Riptide, which boosts Chain Heal. Elemental shares the totem bar and Totemic Projection and gains Lava Burst, stronger against a target with Flame Shock, and Fire Nova as a spell rather than a totem. Blizzard’s Mage and Shaman deep dive since lists the three spells, Call of the Elements, Call of the Spirits and Call of the Ancestors, as baseline for every Shaman at levels 20, 30 and 40, with Totemic Projection at 22, and makes the new Fire Nova spell baseline too.

Rogue Energy now regenerates continuously. Subtlety’s Cutthroat can let Ambush skip Stealth. Assassination’s Mutilate strikes with both weapons for double the chance to crit, and the new finisher Venom raises poison damage.

Our copy of build 1.60.1.70170’s files shows how Cutthroat works: Backstab has a 3 to 15% chance by rank to let the next Ambush within 10 seconds skip Stealth. Datamined wowforever.ninja — Forever's client files, build 1.60.1.70170

Why it matters: Rogues and Shamans get a spec-by-spec rundown of their changes, Enhancement aside, and the Warrior parts already match Blizzard’s written deep dive.
