Who we are

wowforever.ninja is an unofficial fan site for World of Warcraft: Forever. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment. A contact address for privacy requests will be published on this page before the first newsletter is sent.

The email list

If you enter your email on the front page we store the address, the time you signed up, and which page you signed up from, and we send you one confirmation email. Only if you click the link in it do you join the list (double opt-in). We use the list to send you Forever news and guides: a weekly recap during the beta, the name-reservation reminder, the launch-day email. Nothing else. We do not sell, rent or share it.

• Legal basis: your consent, given when you click the confirmation link. The link is valid for seven days; an address that is never confirmed is deleted once its link has expired.
• Every email includes an unsubscribe link and supports your mail client's own unsubscribe button. Unsubscribing stops the emails at once and deletes your address within seven days.
• The list is stored with Supabase (hosted PostgreSQL) in the United States. Emails are delivered by Resend (United States), which sees your address to deliver them and tells us if an email bounces or is reported as spam, so that we stop sending.
• We do not track whether you open an email or what you click in it.

Corrections

If you send a correction with the form at the foot of our world pages (zones, quests, NPCs and the like), we store what you send: the page, what you flagged, your correction, a source link if you give one, and a name if you give one ("anonymous" if you don't). We don't ask for your email, and the correction is stored without your IP address. We use it only to check and fix the page, and it is never published as sent.

• Corrections are stored with Supabase (hosted PostgreSQL) in the United States.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, from the company that hosts the site, which counts page views without cookies. With each page view it records the time, the page, the referrer, the browser, the operating system, the kind of device and the country, region and city, for aggregate statistics only. To count a visitor once, Vercel makes a hash from the request and discards it after 24 hours; it is not tied to your IP address. There is no cross-site tracking and no advertising identifiers. Because no cookies are set, there is no cookie banner.

Hosting

The site is served by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and keeps short-lived server logs for security and reliability.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or withdraw consent at any time. Residents of Canada (PIPEDA) and the European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR) have these rights in law; we extend them to everyone. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or the contact address once it is published here.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
