Blizzard opened its class-by-class deep dives with Hunter and Druid, and Nethaera says the team plans to cover every class. Talents unlock at level 10 and keep Classic’s rows and its 11, 21 and 31-point milestones, with a fourth milestone added at 16 points. Changing talents, Legacy talents included, takes a visit to a class trainer in a major city, and Dual Specialization arrives at level 40.

Hunters learn Aimed Shot as a baseline ability at level 20. Its cooldown is now separate from Arcane Shot’s and shared with Multi-Shot. Traps work in combat on a 30-second cooldown. Foxes join as a new pet family, bringing Trickster’s Dance, which raises the pet’s dodge and attack speed. New gold medal talents include Summon Hawk for Beast Mastery, Lone Wolf and Sniper Shot for Marksmanship, and Strider Kick for Survival. Sniper Shot, at 31 points, is a 4-second cast on a 15-second cooldown that hits harder than Aimed Shot, as Nethaera corrected the article to say on September 30.

Druids can stay in form far more often. Potions and most doors no longer cancel a shapeshift, weapon enchants and procs now work in forms, and racials such as Shadowmeld and War Stomp can be used while shifted. Most Engineering bombs still can’t, though Blizzard points to new SAF-T and EZ-Thro recipes that can. Nature’s Grasp (level 10) and Omen of Clarity (level 20) become baseline, Feral gains Lacerate at level 42, and Revive, learned at level 12, raises a dead ally outside combat. Tiger’s Fury is replaced by a new Feral talent, Shifting Power, which the article says comes in a later beta build.

Why it matters: Hunters and Druids can now plan builds from Blizzard’s own list of changes, which Blizzard says may still shift during the beta.
