PvP without a rating ladder

No rated PvP. The PvP track resets each tier, and parking in Alterac Valley won't be the best Honor.

PvP got a short but clear segment in Blizzard’s September 17 live Q&A. The team called it an area it wants to invest in, and ruled out rated PvP for Forever. In its place is the new PvP progression track, which resets with every season or tier. An earlier interview described that track as 14 ranks of Honor per patch, covered in our September 16 entry.

Honor gains are also being adjusted. The stated goal is that parking in Alterac Valley should no longer feel like the most efficient thing a player can do.

The developers also said there is a new battleground, and that it comes with a new reputation.

Why it matters: PvP rewards come from a track that everyone restarts together each tier, not from a rating ladder.
