Players recently datamined a batch of new mounts, pets, toys and transmog sets from the WoW: Forever beta build, and some said the art didn’t fit Classic’s style. Kaivax replied on the forums that the assets “are not intended for this version of World of Warcraft.”

Wowhead’s datamining of the build turned up several new mounts, a seasonal-looking pet and a few battle pets, a camping-themed toy, two transmog sets, one of them a Blademaster set, and a Blademaster sword Datamined Wowhead — datamined mounts, pets and toys. Wowhead adds, in its own words, that different WoW versions sometimes share files that don’t apply to the version they’re found in, citing the Rexxar shop sets first spotted on China’s Titan Reforged servers, and that it doesn’t know which version this batch is meant for Community Wowhead.

Why it matters: a datamined asset is not a promise. Treat anything found in the files as speculative until Blizzard says it’s coming to Forever.
