Paladins get Salvation and Revoke, Reckoning stores charges

Salvation stops competing with your other blessings, Revoke takes it back, and Reckoning stores up to 4 extra swings.

In the October 15 beta build, Blessing of Salvation and Greater Blessing of Salvation become Salvation and Mass Salvation. You apply them the same way, but they no longer exclude your other blessings. Paladins also learn Revoke with Salvation, which removes Salvation or Mass Salvation from a party or raid member, so the Paladin again decides who has it.

  • Damage and threat: Seal of Righteousness and Judgement of Righteousness had their Spell Damage coefficients fixed (the seal was gaining almost twice what it should), and Judgement of Righteousness and Judgement of Fury use instant-cast coefficients. Consecration’s coefficient per tick falls to 0.042 (was 0.095). Righteous Fury’s Holy threat rises to 90% (was 60%). Power Word: Shield no longer overwrites Seal of Fury, and Seal of Fury’s rank 3 trains at level 26 (was 25).
  • Holy: focus macros for Light’s Vigil now hit the right target, and Infusion of Light no longer gives Holy Shock 50% more damage against enemies.
  • Protection: Reckoning stores a charge each time it triggers, up to 4, and your next auto attack spends them all for an extra attack each, as in Classic Era, so Reckoning’s extra attacks no longer reset your swing timer. Shield Specialization restores 4% mana (was 6%), still on a 3-second internal cooldown.
  • Retribution: Champion of the Light gives Spell Damage equal to 10, 20 or 30% of Intellect (was 20, 40 or 60%). Sanctified Judgement’s mana return no longer generates threat.

Why it matters: the Paladin again controls who has Salvation in a raid, and Retribution gets less Spell Damage from Champion of the Light.
