Resistance gear and Alchemy's raid role may both ease up

On episode 106 of the Friends Per Second podcast, Blizzard’s Clay Stone, Forever’s Associate Production Director, touched on two things Classic raiders have had to grind for. Resistance gear is unlikely to be something players need to craft at the very start, he said, though Blizzard could revisit the idea later on.

Alchemy’s role during raiding is also under discussion. Stone said the team is talking about the possibility of reworking the profession so it matters less during the raiding phase of the game.

Neither is final. Alchemy is still being discussed, and resistance gear is something the team could come back to later.

Why it matters: if you were planning to grind a resistance set or lean on Alchemy to stay raid-ready, Blizzard is still weighing how necessary either one will be.
