AV honor is shrinking, other battlegrounds pay more
AV honor shrinks. Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin and Darkspear Islands pay more instead.

On episode 4 of the WoW: Forever Podcast, out October 15, designers Josh “Aggrend” Greenfield and Tim Jones said Forever makes Alterac Valley pay less Honor and every other battleground pay much more. Wowhead ties it to the “Drek or Kek” habit in Classic, where both sides rush the enemy leader and skip most of the fighting because it is the quickest Honor.
In the designers’ words, AV is “probably a little less lucrative” now. They want an evening in Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin or Darkspear Islands to be a good use of your time, and moving between battlegrounds to feel fine. Blizzard made a similar change for the Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary realms, raising non-AV battleground Honor and overall player-kill Honor together.
Why it matters: AV rushes pay a little less Honor than in Classic, and the other battlegrounds pay much more.
