A new video tours three of Forever's launch dungeons

Blizzard posted a four-minute video, Launch Dungeons, walking through three of Forever’s nine launch dungeons: Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron and Excavation Site: Wetlands.

Hall of Thanes sits beneath Ironforge’s throne room, an early Alliance dungeon much like the Horde’s Ragefire Chasm. Dark Iron Dwarves are burrowing in after the riches of Ironforge’s kings, and restless spirits wander the halls alongside them.

Ruins of Lordaeron takes place across the old castle grounds, now overrun with Undead. The dungeon plays out entirely outdoors, which the team is using to show off Forever’s lighting system, highlighting fog, light and shadow throughout.

Excavation Site: Wetlands follows a dwarven dig that went wrong, with players sent in to find out what happened to the expedition. Raptors nest in the tall grass around the site, and some of them are stealthed.

Why it matters: it’s Blizzard’s own look at three of the nine dungeons you’ll level through at launch.
