Collections show only what you've already collected

Forever's Collections menu lists what you have found, not everything there is. Blizzard wants the community to work out the rest.

In a video interview published by JackedIQ on October 11, Blizzard’s Holly Longdale and Clay Stone were asked about WoW: Forever’s Collections, which they described as a more modern feature brought into a Classic-based game. Players come to WoW for different reasons, they said, and its versions serve people who want different things.

The Collections menu will not list everything there is to earn. You will only see an entry once you have actually collected it. Blizzard said there is a lot to find in the world and that it is intentionally trying to keep as much of it hidden for as long as possible. It would rather let the community be the experts than hand everything over.

Why it matters: the menu is a record of what you have found, not a checklist of what is left, and Blizzard wants the community to document the rest.
