Mac tint bug still a mystery as build 70205 lands
Build 70205 came out early with performance improvements. Rommax needs repro steps for the green and magenta tint.

On October 2, Blizzard developer Rommax said in a Mac graphics bug thread that beta build 70205 was out early with performance improvements. That night he said some hardware unexpectedly runs worse on it, which the team would look into the following week.
Neither Rommax, testing a 2019 Mac Pro and an M1 Ultra on macOS 26, nor Blizzard QA could reproduce the green and magenta tint, and he isn’t confident the new build’s fixes will cure it. He wants tint reports from 70205 either way, with GPU and macOS version, plus place and server time if it seems tied to location or time of day.
One crash happens inside the Metal driver, and every report of it he has seen comes from macOS 12 or 13. Upgrading to macOS 14 or later may prevent it, he suggested. Log lines naming mtl_1_1 shaders or an Unknown Apple GPU family are harmless and should be unrelated to the slowdowns players report.
He also found a code bug swapping the raid and non-raid secondary lighting settings. The workaround: enable raid settings and make them match your non-raid ones.
Why it matters: Mac players who see the tint can help Blizzard reproduce it.
