The beta opens to level 30 with Excavation Site: Wetlands

The October 1 beta build raises the level cap to 30, the step Blizzard promised when the beta opened at 20.

Three more dungeons open with it. Excavation Site: Wetlands is one of Forever’s new dungeons, tuned for levels 26 to 31. Razorfen Downs opens from level 25 and Uldaman from level 30. They join the eleven already available in the beta: Ragefire Chasm, Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron, Wailing Caverns, The Deadmines, Shadowfang Keep, The Stockade, Blackfathom Deeps, Gnomeregan, Razorfen Kraul and Scarlet Monastery.

Aggrend said the City of Dalaran dungeon is not in this build and will arrive in a later beta update, Wowhead reported. Wowhead’s report gives Excavation Site as levels 24 to 29, where Blizzard’s notes say 26 to 31.

The same build adds barbershops to Darnassus and Thunder Bluff, puts a barber in every barbershop, and has city guards give directions to them.

Why it matters: testers can now level through the 20s and run Forever’s new dungeon in the Wetlands.
