Some SoD class quests make the jump
Some Season of Discovery class quests are back, some expanded, and Aggrend says more can follow.

MMORPG.com interviewed Blizzard’s Josh Greenfield (Aggrend) and Jeff Parrot at BlizzCon 2026, and asked whether Forever would keep building out class quests the way Season of Discovery did. Greenfield said Season of Discovery was “near and dear” to the team, and that some of its class quests made it into Forever as-is, some were expanded, and new ones were added on top.
He added that anything that didn’t make launch is still on the table, since Forever isn’t a fixed, time-limited season the way Season of Discovery was: “It’s unboxed, WoW Forever.”
Season of Discovery’s rune and weapon quests were a standout feature of that season, including the Paladin line that ran across five phases into Blackwing Lair.
Why it matters: Blizzard is framing class quests as an ongoing project rather than a launch-day checklist, so players who liked Season of Discovery’s questlines can expect more, not just a one-time carryover.
