Legacy point sources found so far

Wowhead datamined the beta client’s list of ways to earn Legacy points, the currency behind Forever’s account-wide Legacy system. Wowhead notes players won’t be able to spend more than 16 points at launch, even though far more are earnable.

The sources found span several categories: reaching 150, 225 and 300 skill for the first time in each of the six original professions; reaching level 25, 45 and 60 on each class for the first time; clearing every encounter in the Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit raids and defeating Onyxia; reaching each of the 14 ranks in the PvP Honor system; hitting exalted with any of the four original PvP reputations; completing the map of Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor on one character, or earning the Explore Azeroth achievement; and finishing specific weeks of a “Field of Honor Journey” questline and a separate questline running from “An Earnest Proposition” to “Saving the Best for Last.”

Why it matters: with only 16 points spendable at launch out of this much larger pool, players will have real choice in which Legacy goals to chase first — professions, PvP rank, raid clears or exploration all count toward the same total.
