Bigger banks, and no peeking at raid loot

The default bank is 2 to 4 times bigger. Raid item stats stay hidden until the item drops.

MMORPG.com interviewed Blizzard’s Josh Greenfield and Jeff Parrott about several Forever systems. On bank space, Greenfield said the default bank is two to four times as large as original WoW’s, while starting bag size stays the same; he said Blizzard isn’t planning to expand bank space further until players actually need it, though storage is expected to grow over time.

On item discovery, Blizzard is obfuscating item stats across the game: players won’t see an item’s stats until it drops for them or on their server, and there’s no Dungeon Journal to look them up in advance. Greenfield expects the first week of each raid to be chaotic as players find items and post them to sites like Wowhead in real time, rather than knowing best-in-slot gear going in.

Why it matters: raiders won’t be able to plan around known best-in-slot lists the way they can in modern WoW — loot priorities get worked out live, the way they did in original WoW.
