World of Warcraft: Forever will have full controller support

Xbox controllers sat at each station on BlizzCon’s Warcraft demo floor, and Blizzard confirmed why: World of Warcraft: Forever ships with full controller support. Wowhead reports it as the first time Blizzard has built a World of Warcraft game with a gamepad in mind from the start.

Attendees could try the level 1–10 Skyborne starting experience with a controller at the show. The dungeon demo on the floor was not set up for controller play, so how far that support extends into group content is still unconfirmed.

Why it matters: it’s a genuinely new accessibility option for a Classic-rooted game, not a limited or experimental mode.
