Undead can be Paladins in World of Warcraft: Forever, cinematic reveals

The cinematic launch trailer for World of Warcraft: Forever, shown at BlizzCon 2026, revealed that Undead characters will be able to play Paladin. Wowhead reports the reveal came from the trailer itself rather than a class panel, and frames it as a long-requested combination finally arriving.

Paladin has never been an option for the Undead race in World of Warcraft’s history. Adding it makes Undead Paladin a new race-and-class combination that has not existed in any previous version of the game.

Blizzard has not detailed how the combination fits the rest of the class system, whether it changes any of the Forsaken’s racial traits, or when it becomes playable in beta.

Why it matters: Undead Paladin has been a long-running player request, and showing it in the launch cinematic rather than a class panel suggests Blizzard is treating it as one of Forever’s marquee reveals.
