Transmog exists in Forever, and you can switch it off for everyone
Forever includes transmogrification, with a setting that shows either other players' transmogs or the base look of their gear. Off means off for every player you see.

Forever has transmogrification, and it settles the old argument with a toggle. Blizzard said in the What’s Next panel that transmog is available as an option: a setting decides whether you see other players’ chosen appearances or the actual gear they are wearing. Turn it on and the world looks like retail; turn it off and every player around you shows their real armor, regardless of what they chose.
Blizzard did not detail how appearances are collected or whether any restrictions apply compared with the retail system.
Why it matters: the “Classic look” is preserved for anyone who wants it, without taking the feature away from anyone else, which is the compromise the community has argued about for years.
