Hardcore is coming to Forever, and the roadmap runs past launch
Blizzard's panel confirmed a Hardcore mode for Forever, with details promised at the Hardcore panel on September 13. The launch roadmap shown alongside it staggers content, with the first raids in December.

Two things from the end of the What’s Next panel. First, Hardcore is coming to Forever. Blizzard said so on stage and pointed to a dedicated Hardcore panel on September 13 for the details, so how it works, whether it launches on November 4, and whether it gets its own realms are all open until then.
Second, Blizzard showed a launch roadmap. It confirms what the dungeon and raid coverage already implied: Forever’s content arrives in steps rather than all at once, with the first two raids, Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit, placed in December. The roadmap was shown as an image; the dated milestones beyond that are not yet published in text, and this entry will be updated when they are.
Why it matters: Hardcore in a world with new zones and 1,000 new quests is a different game from Hardcore in Classic Era, and the roadmap tells you November is for leveling.
Tracked on everything we know.
