The key ring: every key and attunement in WoW: Forever
Every key that opens a dungeon, a raid or part of one in World of Warcraft: Forever: what it opens, how to get it by faction, and whether Forever's files or our play have shown it. Forever's new keys too, including the ones no one has placed yet.

The short answer
Forever keeps Classic’s keys and adds its own. This guide lists 29 of them, across 16 places, each with what it opens and every way to get it. 9 of them are new keys in Forever’s files that no source has placed yet. The key ring stays: Forever’s own interface keeps it beside the bags.
Forever’s two new raids have no attunement quest chain, and Onyxia’s Lair keeps its attunement, not account-wide at launch.How to read a key
Each card says what the key opens, every way to get it the data shows, and its Forever line: Seen in Forever when our own play saw it, Forever’s client files when they still carry it, and Classic 1.12 · not yet seen in Forever when only the original game’s data has it so far. A route Forever’s data cannot show yet, such as Dalaran’s chain, is marked Reported, with its source. Where a lock also opens by Lockpicking, the card gives the rank.

Frequently asked
- Do raids in WoW: Forever need an attunement?
- Forever's two new raids, Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit, have no attunement quest chain, by Blizzard's podcast as Warcraft Tavern reports it, though the developers hinted at extra steps for the full experience. Onyxia's Lair keeps its attunement, not account-wide at launch.
- How do you get into the City of Dalaran dungeon?
- With the Dalaran Sewer Key. Players report a five-quest chain from Magus Wordeen Voidglare in Tarren Mill for the Horde, ending with Heart of Disruption, which rewards the key, and for the Alliance An Alarming Request from Emissary Jacques in Southshore, then Heart of Disruption. At the Horde entrance one keyholder is enough for the group.
